We sit down with Ian Willis, Keith Willis and Andrew Bordin, team principals at AIM Autosport to see where the team is at in its plans for 2018.
Ian: Our NISSAN Nismo GT-R GT3 has been completely rebuilt and is ready to race – ideally in Pirelli World Challenge Sprint-X. It is basically a ‘body on white’ and ready for partnership branding based on the needs of our drivers.
Ian: We have one. We need one more funded driver and as I mentioned, and as our partnership with Always Evolving has ended, we have branding assets to offer to provide the requisite value for our drivers and partners. An open canvas so to speak.
Keith: For sure, our engineering group and race team members are intact, and of course, we have much more experience with the car and what makes it work. This is a very competitive program and with the right drivers, we will be ready to challenge at the front.
Andrew: We are looking to add depth to our marketing program here. Motorsports is a marketing exercise first and foremost and the ability to deliver value to our partners, drivers and other stakeholders is critical to success. With that said, expect an announcement in the coming days on what we are doing to bolster our marketing efforts for 2018 and beyond.
